Pop-culture

       Pop-culture is a macro phrase. It includes every popular thing being in the world and support people's life. It influences people's life everyday. It is just like Oxygen that it offers energy to people. For example, I am living America right now. When I wake up, I will open music program, and listening musics that which  are popular recently on billboard. My breakfast changed to eggs, beef, milk and orange juice (I eat rice and Chinese food before).  I stared watching American movies. Every morning I will drink coffee and study at Starbucks. American pop-culture is changing my life, and it give me different  experience. I will enjoy the influence and changing.

     The Prezi is about Museum of Contemporary Photography. Its location is at Michigan Avenue between Columbia College. Its collections focus are on modern and contemporary. Pictures are the best way to recorded  special moments that something had happened. Such as war, celebrating, people and place. In the museum, the main point is on American, China, German and Arab. The museum want to show us people live the different countries had different life at same period.

TV

            "I am singer" is the most popular TV show in China. It is a contest for singers. First a few days , I was interesting on it. They sing very nice and I will download the music from the singers. But the audience's face and action are very disgusting and affectation. Also there have some rumors about the TV show. Such as: the  champion is already decision, singer give money to referees for champion. However, I have to be honest, the singers' songs are very good.

Food

       I had read something interesting in "Noodles vs. Sesame Seed buns". The author said "Numerous copycat restaurants with names such as "McDuck's", "Mcdonald's" and "Modormals". It is truth. When i lived in China, the copycat restaurants are anywhere. Actually it is not only restaurants. I never go to this kind of restaurants to eat food, but a lot of people do. It is a easy way to make money, but it is not good for Chinese food developing. Also, it is not creative and inner-directed. Sometimes I feel disgusting and stay away from them. Today, the problem is also happen in China.

movies

        Captain Phillips is a wonderful movie, and  It is a real story. Captain Phillips( Tom Hanks) is the smart captain for the American freighter Maersk Alabama. Their task is material transport, but they are in Somali territory .Everybody knows that there have a lot of pirates. Unfortunately, the Maersk Alabama encountered 4 pirates,even though the captain practiced pirate drills so many times.Phillips leads his crews and use his experience to fight pirates, and at the same time, they were calling the Navy Center for help.Anyway, the pirates took Phillips in a lifeboat. After one night later, the U.S. navy is coming, and they spent a day to save Phillips and kill the pirates.

Music

   My favorite song is "mirrors"by Justin Timberlake.Justin Timberlake is a handsome and smart guy.Actually, he is genius.Almost all of his songs are best in American. This song is for his grandfather, and the movie story is similar to his grandfather and grandmom's love story.I was touched when I first time watched the mirrors'video.Mirrors also was the number one of the billboard.I like a section lyric very much: "I can tell you there's no place we couldn't go Just put your hand on the glass I'll be tryin' to pull you through You just gotta be strong".

Reading

    In Define"American", the author said people think America is a salad bowl.I am disagree with him.I think America is the transformation process that salad is put

                

into melting pot.America is a nation of immigrants.The people come from everywhere,and they have different cultures.They own culture will change to American culture slowly, maybe they need a few years to finish changing.But in the few years,the next generation immigrant will be coming,and they still have different cultures.So I think America culture is the transformation process that different cultures are changing to same culture.However, the transformation process is never stop.

culture identity

Culture can be two different cultures, one of them is high culture, and other one is popular culture. High culture is for high education people, and popular culture is for normal people or most people. Pop-Culture can be place, people, object and event. Such as, Hawaii, Will Smith, iphone and 911. High culture is for high education people that we don't understand with or difficult to understand.Such as, Van Gogh's painting, Shakespeare opera or  David Sculpture.Some people will live with pop-culture and high culture. They will listen popular music and watch opera. For example,I am trying to study opera at my Iphone.
